HIV decline

The New Scientist, 27th November 2010 page 7, reports on the United Nations’s AIDS partnership figures which show that the number of new HIV infections world-wide has decreased by 20%  over the last 10 years.  The rate of new infections has decreased more than 25% in 33 out of the 63 countries with realiable data.  This success is attributed to prevention – good news for World AIDS day!
